So by now I’m assuming most of you will have heard the news…
There will not be another series of Dirk Gently (grr! argh! *shakes fist in BBC’s general direction*) and whilst I am not sure of what the proper procedure is in these situations when it comes to voicing displeasure at the decision, I have found the address of the BBC’s Audience Services department from their ‘contact us’ section:
BBC Audience Services
PO Box 1922
Darlington
DL3 0UR
It is the same address to make an official complaint but with ‘BBC Complaints’ instead of ‘BBC Audience Services’. I am not sure whether voicing an opinion on Dirk Gently counts as a complaint or not, but feel free to use your own discretion.
So Episodes Starts in the UK Tonight.
If you’re are outside of the UK and waiting for the US to air it in July, I would just like to warn you that as of tonight this blog will contain things that you might consider spoilery. However, I will tag these posts with #episodes spoilers, so please add that to tumblr saviour if you want to.
Stephen Mangan Talks to Time Out Magazine
Most memorable audition?
‘For the Estonian chewing gum, actually. I’d just left drama school, and went to the top of a rickety stairwell in Soho where a sweaty, middle-aged man was waiting with a camcorder. He said: “What’s your name? Sit down. Take off your top.” I thought: hello, this is what they warn you about… Then I had to growl like a tiger at the camera. But I got the part!’
This advert (and the Turkish Gilette one mentioned in the interview) must exist somewhere. Surely. Come on internet, don’t let me down!
US Episodes Series 2 advert. UK folks ignore the date on it, it is starting here on BBC2 next week!
